Integral Ad Science Sizmek Adapter Guide
The IAS Sizmek adapter allows you to get IAS measurement technology for viewability, brand safety, and fraud for HTML5 video without the need for VPAID wrapping of individual video tags. This adapter sends video event information from the Sizmek video player API to IAS servers for collection and metric calculation using the video verification and optimization SDK.
Overview
The Integral Ad Science (IAS) Sizmek adapter allows you to get IAS measurement technology for viewability, brand safety, and fraud for HTML5 video without the need for VPAID wrapping of individual video tags. This adapter sends video event information from the Sizmek video player API to IAS servers for collection and metric calculation using the video verification and optimization SDK. With this SDK, you can get blocking or monitoring recommendations. The blocking recommendations for brand safety, geographical, custom lists and fraud can be sent to Sizmek to block. Alternatively, the monitoring solution helps you understand what would have been blocked if blocking was enabled.
You can use the adapter with both the Sizmek managed service and the self-service model.
Both VPAID and VAST ads are supported. To use the Adapter integration in Sizmek VAST ads, go to Settings and check the box for "Enable viewability and verification (applies only to VPAID supported sites)". Additionally, only In-stream ads are supported with the IAS Sizmek adapter.

Integration Steps
Enabling video measurement for a campaign running through the Sizmek ad server needs the following steps.
1) The Client, you, contacts IAS Client Services representative and Sizmek to create a media plan on both sides.
2) Export the media plan after it is setup in Sizmek and send it to IAS (so that IAS can generate individual URLs per placement). Select all the relevant placements, then click the 'Export to CSV' button on the 'Media Plan' tab for the plan:
3) You inform IAS if you want to block for a given placement and IAS configures this for them. (Video blocking does not need to be explicitly enabled on the Sizmek side).
4) IAS generates advEntity and publisherId IDs via regular video tag generation process with data provided by Sizmek.
5) IAS generates custom URLs and delivers those URLs to Sizmek to configure in their system for each placement.
6) Sizmek configures the URLs on their end for each placement on the campaign.
7) Once configured and corresponding Sizmek tags are live, data starts flowing into the IAS UI.
